Meet the Crowd: “I have felt like a stakeholder, and not just a customer.”

In light of its recent success, we asked PMF A investors what they thought of our loan note product and our platform as a whole.

Last week, we spoke to Joshua, a 24-year-old Property Moose investor. Joshua works as a paralegal in London.

How have you found your experience investing with Property Moose?

I have been really impressed with Property Moose. The platform functions really well, which is an absolute must. I’m used to flawless banking apps and I didn’t expect any less from an investment platform.

The customer service is great, with people always on hand to explain things by chat or over the phone if necessary. And on the one or two occasions where there has been a problem with rent collection or with an investment itself, the Property Moose team have been totally transparent with us and provided some really great solutions for us to choose between.

Since I started investing with Property Moose, I have felt like a stakeholder and not just a customer.

What drew you to Property Moose and what are you hoping to achieve with your investments?

I had just graduated from university with a huge amount of student debt. I had some savings, but I wanted to do more than just place them in 0% cash ISA. I have invested in other equity crowdfunding platforms in the past, which are going okay, but they really stretch my risk appetite.

I listen to podcasts all the time on both finance and business, and I knew that property offers some of the highest returns available and, over the long run, it’s relatively safe. I also knew that without a big lump of cash for a deposit, I couldn’t possibly afford to expose myself to the traditional property market.

Then, someone on a podcast mentioned property crowdfunding with Property Moose, which provides the exposure to the property market with only a £10 minimum investment - and none of the hassle of actually managing the properties myself.

I’ve since decided that, even if I did have much more to invest - and I hope I will one day, Property Moose allows you to spread the risk across multiple properties in a much more liquid market.

What attracted you to PMF A/our loan note product?

I like the direct investment in buy to let, but I also like the idea of having a variety of investment classes. So, the loan note seemed like a good way to diversify a bit more. I saw it as part of my Property Moose holdings in which I could invest a lot more because I wasn’t as worried about the risk of any individual property - and the 8% return certainly helped!

Are you happy with the outcome of your investment in PMF A?

Very happy. I got my 8% return, which is better than anywhere else I currently have my money. I reinvested it in the next loan note available.
