Overview

There are a number of factors that contribute towards the growing demand of student accommodation in Preston, some of which include:

  • Preston is home to one university, University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) with just over 17,500 full time students.
  • A higher percentage of students live in their parental/guardian home and their own properties than the national average.
  • There is a predicated headroom of 3,345 students unable to access purpose built accommodation based on current levels of supply.
