Property Funds in 12 Hours!

On Friday 26 June at 6pm we listed the most eagerly anticipated property to date in County Durham. The former home of Laurel, of Laurel & Hardy fame, was fully funded by 21 investors 12 hours and 11 minutes later.

This is the fastest property funded to date on the Property Moose platform and we believe it highlights the growing momentum that Property Moose, and the Alternative Finance sector is experiencing.

Now we have more than 3,500 members, spread out in 27 different countries, as part of our investor community.

Property Director, Stuart Pooley, highlighted the benefits and importance of raising funds with speed: ‘the faster we close property funds, the greater our access to discounted stock all over the country becomes. If we can raise funds quickly, then more and more vendors will want to partner with Property Moose.’

The speed at which Laurel’s former home funded was picked up by the Newcastle Evening Chronicle (1), and was printed in the Newcastle Journal. Star Radio also covered the story (2). A long list of other regional news publications also wrote pieces before the property launched (below).

We managed to complete the acquisition of the property two days later, and we are working with our local management partner to secure a tenant.

We were delighted to have had the opportunity to bring such an interesting property to our network of investors, and for anyone that may be interested, the enormous church that Stan Laurel was baptised in is now also for sale! (3)
