How does it work for investors?

Step 1 – Sign Up

It’s easy to create a Property Moose account – everything can be done online in just a few simple steps and best of all, it’s free!
Just provide your personal details and either (i) certify as a high net worth/certificated investor, or (ii) complete a short questionnaire so we can check your suitability for investing through the platform. All your data is kept on our own secure private servers and we will never share your data with anyone without your permission.

Step 2 – Choose a property

At Property Moose, we believe in transparency and aim to give you all the information you need to make a fully informed investment. Each property will display full details of the expected returns and all the information on known costs and intended renovation works.
We offer a mixture of properties across a range of property classes and geographic locations. In addition, due to the volume of properties we acquire, we are able to negotiate significant discounts with developers – all of which are passed on to you, our investors.
Every property we display is hand selected by our investment team due to its potential as a market leading investment – so good, that we put our own money behind each property and invest, alongside you, through our own investment vehicle.
We do not provide you with advice on any investment but we may give you certain details and you should complete your own research, obtain independent advice and select your own investment. If you are in any doubt whether an investment is suitable you should always seek the advice of an independent financial advisor.

Step 3 – Complete your transaction online

Property Moose has been built to make property investment easy and affordable for all. We have developed a fully integrated online platform where you can invest from as little as £500 – without being overburdened with bank charges and fees. We have partnered with GoCardless – an innovative one time direct debit payment system to only take payments once an investment is 100% funded. Your money will be transferred to a client account managed by our custodian partner so it is held completely separate from our business at all times. Once the property is ready to complete, the funds will be transferred to our solicitor to make the purchase.
Once invested, the property will be acquired within the wrapper of an English limited company and each investor will be issued shares in that company in proportion to their investment. Each share carries full voting rights and the property will be fully managed on your behalf in accordance with the investment terms and articles of association.
To comply with our legal requirements, we need to complete a quick online identity check to make sure you are who you say you are. This check is conducted prior to your first investment and we will notify you straight away if we need any further information.
Please note: Property Moose is acting in this as arranger of transactions for the investment company and not for you as the investor. Any investor will need to obtain its own advice before participating in a transaction.

Step 4 – View and manage your portfolio online

Property Moose gives all investors access to a unique portfolio management tool that shows up to date information about each property you are invested in. Here you can monitor your portfolio’s returns, yields and status, for each individual property and as a property portfolio in the whole.
Rental returns and capital payments will be credited to your account and can be withdrawn direct from the platform, either electronically or via cheque.
